Trustee Cecille: Thank you, Streamwood

Thank you for placing your trust and confidence in me by re-electing me as a Streamwood village trustee. I appreciate the voters’ support. I will continue to be the independent voice of our residents, while working with the village board.

Overall, we had a 16 percent turnout of local voters. I hope to encourage more residents to vote in all future elections, whether national, state, or local contests.

Our village staff has always done a terrific job in recommendations to the board to balance our annual budgets. I will continue to oppose tax increases until the board makes all unnecessary cuts to keep costs down. While I don’t always agree with the other board members, my utmost concern is, and always will be, the safety and best interests of Streamwood and our residents.
