So what happens next?

Q. OK, the Blackhawks are finally in the win column. Now what?

A. Now the Blackhawks need to build off the momentum they built up from their last game, but they have to realize the present situation at hand.

They need to go into Vancouver tonight with the same approach they had Tuesday at the United Center, but they better expect way more from Vancouver in Game 5. The Canucks are going to come out flying in their own building, in front of their own crowd.

Q. How do you combat that?

A. By using the same approach as last game – and I know they’re clichés, but they have to take it one shift, one period at a time.

For the Blackhawks in Game 5, the start of the game is going to be absolutely critical.

The key for them is to get a lot of shots on goalie Roberto Luongo — see where he’s at— especially early on.

Troy Murray is now in his 11th season as a member of the Blackhawks’ broadcast team. The Selke Award winner was a five-time 20-goal scorer and a veteran of 15 years in the NHL, playing in 915 career games.
