We value bankers over teachers

Let’s see if I understand the current GOP position. The average bonus on Wall Street this year was $128,000 — bonus only — after bailing out the big banks and extending the Bush tax cuts for the rich.

But let’s eliminate collective bargaining for teachers who average annual salary is $48,000. If they can’t break the unions, then lay off the teachers and increase class size from about 25 to 60 students.

The Republicans reward their banking friends who helped them get elected at the expense of our children’s education in a very competitive environment. So much for our future.
