Bolingbrook woman charged at South Elgin spa

A 44-year-old Bolingbrook woman is accused of offering more than massages at a South Elgin spa, police said Wednesday.

Naomi Suh, of the 1400 block of Danhoff Lane, was arrested Monday after a two-week investigation by South Elgin police.

Suh is charged with felony unlawful restraint, solicitation for prostitution and keeping a place of prostitution, along with misdemeanor battery and prostitution charges, according to police.

Suh is due in court on March 17 and faces up to three years in prison if convicted. Probation also is an option.

Sgt. Mike Doty said authorities were alerted to suspicious activity at the Heaven Spa, 1314 W. Spring St., and began to investigate. Doty said an undercover officer visited the spa at about 2 p.m. Monday, and during the course of the massage, Suh offered to perform a sex act for money.

The officer called other officers who were waiting outside with a search warrant, but not before Suh tried to stop him, Doty said.

“She pushed him against the wall in an attempt to stop him from making a notification to us,” Doty said. “South Elgin is a family community and we’ll make every effort possible to stop this type of crime.”

Doty said two others were questioned but released without charges.
