Rolling Meadows alderman resigns

Rolling Meadows Second Ward Alderman Barb Lusk announced her resignation at Tuesday night's city council meeting, citing “relocation” as the reason she'll leave her post effective April 15.

Mayor Kenneth Nelson complimented Lusk, calling her “one of the hardest working alderman I've had the pleasure of working with.”

Nelson said that he would work with the two mayoral candidates — Jonathan Trapani and Tom Rooney — to determine how to best fill the vacancy, as Lusk will depart April 15. In the meantime, Nelson asked interested members of the public to submit a letter of interest and some personal background if they are interested in the second ward alderman position.
