In Prospect Heights Ward 4, Gerald T. Anderson is running a write-in campaign after being ruled off the ballot. Also running is former Prospect Heights mayor, alderman and park commissioner Patrick J. Ludvigsen. Ludvigsen is seeking a return to city government after previously stepping down as mayor because, he said, he has children at home and could not devote the time the job of mayor requires. Anderson has been elected four times, but tends to be a gadfly who filibusters and has trouble working with others. Prospect Heights needs problem solvers rather than gadflies. Ludvigsen is a smart, no-nonsense leader who will be a consensus builder we expect to work agreeably to bring development and tax revenue to the city. Ludvigsen is endorsed.
