Spaghetti Supper to aid Geneva beautification efforts

Tickets for the Geneva Beautification Committee Spaghetti Supper fundraiser are selling quickly.

The supper will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Riverview Banquets, 1117 N. Washington Ave., in Batavia, which is one-third mile south of Fabyan Parkway on Route 25.

Tickets for the fifth annual “Pasta for Posies” fundraiser cost $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and younger before the event; $12 for adults and $6 for children at the door.

Pasta for Posies will feature all-you-can-eat spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, Italian bread, butter, olive oil and vinegar and an assortment of desserts, many of which are homemade by volunteers. Coffee, tea, water and milk will be provided and a cash bar will be available. Takeout also will be provided.

To add to the fun, a 50/50 raffle will be held during the evening — winners do not need to be present. In addition, if you fill out your contact information on the ticket stub, you will be entered in a drawing to win a $25 certificate at Fiora’s or a wine basket.

Local gardening expert Mary Stavenhagen will present an informative and fun seminar titled “It IS Easy Being Green.” Mary’s program, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., will provide environment-friendly advice on recycling in your garden, using your money wisely in respect to your yard, conservation and more. Following the program there will be a question and answer time for all of your gardening questions.
