Police seek witnesses in W. Chicago accident

The pedestrian who was struck and injured by a vehicle Sunday morning in unincorporated West Chicago has been identified, but police are not yet releasing his identity.

The man was struck at around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Geneva Road and Morningside Avenue. He was described as a white male about 17 to 21 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and around 160 pounds with dark brown hair.

He was wearing blue jeans, a dark hoodie and dark skateboard shoes with green laces.

Authorities were withholding further information regarding the accident pending notification of the victim’s family.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the accident to call (630) 407-2400.
