The Huntley Police Department is now accepting applications for the upcoming Citizen Police Academy, which will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, March 2 to May 11, at the Huntley Police Department, 10911 Main St. There will be no class the week of May 4.
The Citizen Police Academy is a 10-week program designed to give participants a working knowledge of the Huntley Police Department. It consists of a series of classes and discussions that provide an overview of the various areas of law enforcement.
The Citizen Police Academy is free and open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and live or work in the village of Huntley. Applicants will be subject to a background check. Advanced registration is required.
