As Village Clerk I have tried to remain nutral on such issues and focus on recording the actions of the decision makers of the Village.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.The biggest public safety concern in the Village of Campton Hills is fire protection for those residents living within the Fox River Countryside Fire-Rescue District. The concern is maintaining or improving the quality of service during this time of transition for the district. I believe that since the district only covers part of the Village as well as areas outside the Village that the residents in the district should take the lead organize and let their opinions be heard and that the Village part should be to support those residents.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized.
