‘My Occasional Torment’ author at Batavia library lunch talk

Daily Herald report

Batavia’s Books Between Bites welcomes back author Bruce Steinberg from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 to discuss his new novel, “My Occasional Torment.” His novel also is a powerful play to be performed at Naperville’s Center Stage Theater in February. Both book and play dare ask the question: What makes a woman a woman — and how in the world would a man know the answer?

A do-not-miss special treat: actors and producers will appear to discuss adapting the play from the novel, as well as to perform a scene. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing at the program.

The public is welcome to this free hourlong program held in the community room at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave. Parking is available in the lot just south and adjacent to the library.

People are invited to bring their lunch to eat as they enjoy the program and discussion. Food and beverages are available for sale at 10 South Coffee House in the library. Lunch also can be pre-ordered and available for pickup just before the program by calling (630) 406-8870.
