Naperville man charged with child porn

A Naperville man is free on bond after his Tuesday arrest for allegedly downloading child pornography.

Kyle D. Gore, 23, of the 2100 block of Riverlea Circle, was arrested months after police seized his computer and executed a search warrant for his AOL account in August.

Naperville Sgt. Gregg Bell said a search of Gore's computer uncovered numerous images of child pornography.

Bell said police received complaints that Gore had contacted individuals online attempting to “have sexual encounters with young children,” under the screen name kdg31087@aol.com.

Police do not believe he ever followed through but encourage anyone who may have had encounters with his screen name to contact police.

“He was not successful in his attempts to meet anyone in person,” Bell said. “As far as we can tell, all of his conversations were limited to online and did not go any further.”

Gore was charged with three counts of aggravated child pornography. He has since posted 10 percent of his $500,000 bond and has been released from Will County jail.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 13, 2011.
