Wheaton students land holiday bargains at in-school shop
Students at St. Michael's Parish School in Wheaton have a great way to knock out that holiday shopping and do it inexpensively.
The school buys gifts from a vendor in Arlington Heights called Perfect Touch, and sells the items to students with no markup. Students then have inexpensive gifts for family and friends.
“It's just meant to be fun for the kids, a fun shopping time for them,” said co-coordinator Jennifer McNicholas.
Adds Catherine Haywood, one of parents who helps run the program, “It's such a wonderful, generous event,” which the school calls Santa's Secret Shop.
The shop is organized by the St. Michael's School Parent Organization.
