LITH parks program makes it easy for parents to have night out

Set up a date night with your better half, take in a movie, do some holiday shopping, wrap presents or just spend some time by yourself before the holiday rush begins.

The Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department has a fun, safe, inexpensive, activity-filled place for your kids to spend their Friday night while you indulge in some “me” time during Parents Night Out.

The Playschool Academy staff will keep your 3- to 7-year-olds busy from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in the village hall community room. Playtime, games, stories, dinner, snack, and a G-rated movie are on the menu for a Friday night pizza party. Children must be at least 3 years old before the class date and potty trained; no pull ups, please.

Kids from kindergarten through fifth grade get their chance to catch up and have fun with their favorite summer camp counselors from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 in the village hall. They will play games, challenging sports, make arts and crafts, watch a move, and eat pizza.

Registration for both nights is now being accepted at the Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department. Resident rate is $15, nonresident rate is $18. For details, visit lith.org.
