Game notes: The Sabres are 1-1 after two games, winning at Ottawa and losing 6-3 at home to the Rangers on Saturday. Derek Roy already has 3 goals. The Hawks haven't won in Buffalo since 2001.

Last season: Sabres won the only meeting, 2-1 in Buffalo.
