Schaumburg teacher surprised with award

Almas Samadi, a teacher at the Wildflower KinderCare® Learning Center in Schaumburg was honored Thursday, October 7 with an Early Childhood Educator Award from Knowledge Universe. Nominated and selected for this award without her knowledge, Samadi was surprised with the award and $10,000 prize in front of students, parents and colleagues who value her work with children on a daily basis.

Almas Samadi has been an educator at KinderCare for 17 years, currently acting as the infant teacher at the Wildflower KinderCare Learning Center.

Samadi is one of only three teachers across the country to receive the 2010 Knowledge Universe Early Childhood Educator Award. She was nominated and evaluated by her colleagues for demonstrating exceptional skills and practices in her work with children.
