Bensenville District 2 picks new superintendent

A familiar face has been named superintendent in Bensenville Elementary District 2.

James Stelter, who was serving as associate superintendent, was named superintendent to replace William Jordan, who retired June 30.

Stelter, who was in charge of the district's finances and operations for seven years under Jordan, is leading the Master Facilities Planning effort now in progress.

His new administrative team includes Kay Dugan as assistant superintendent for learning, who joins District 2 from Indian Springs District 109 in Justice; Paul Novack as chief financial officer, who most was recently manager of international tax planning at BP Amoco; Marianne Baglarz in the newly created position of instructional technology director, also from District 109; and Bonnie Jordan as the new special education coordinator, formerly supervisor/facilitator for special education programming in Community Unit District 300 in Carpentersville.
