Driver flees scene, overturns car in Villa Park

After overturning a car, a driver fled the scene of an accident at Villa and North avenues Friday in Villa Park.

Villa Park fire officials said two cars collided at Villa and North, then one car fled the scene driving north on Villa Avenue. The car crashed again and overturned near the Odeum Sports and Expo Center at 1033 Villa Ave., officials said.

Fire officials would not name the make and model of the cars but said the driver who remained on the scene was not injured, nor were any rescue workers.

Police later closed a portion of Villa Avenue near the scene but would not confirm if this was related to the accident investigation.
