Is anyone exempt from red-light tickets?

This is in response to the, "Cameras simply enforce the laws," comments, by the police officials of Roselle, Algonquin, Lake Zurich, Villa Park and Warrenville.

I would like to know if any of their officers or they themselves, have been ticketed by red light cameras. I have seen village vehicles and police cars roll through right-on-red stops, as well as regular citizens.

I know, as well as others, that regular citizens get ticketed. Are official vehicles exempt from these red light violations? Naturally, emergency vehicles would be exempt. I am just wondering, and I am certain that I am not alone in the wonderment.
