Enger worthy of support for state job

The Democratic Party of DuPage County is proud of the selection of Dirk Enger as one of the finalists in the search for lieutenant governor of Illinois. Dirk has a long history of being a spokesman for the people of DuPage County and has been recognized for his work.

His recent history as a DuPage County Board member has demonstrated his passion for working for the rights of DuPage residents even when it may not have been the popular thing to do. Dirk voluntarily donates part of his salary to local charities and, along with Tony Michellasi, they are the only county board members who do that.

They are the only two members who work at this position on an almost full-time basis. As lieutenant governor, Dirk Enger would continue the work that he has done in DuPage County for all of the people of Illinois. A decorated Marine veteran himself, Dirk has long been an advocate for our servicemen and servicewomen and was instrumental in the creation of the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

Our thanks to Dirk for the work he has done and continues to do in DuPage County and hope that he will be given the just consideration he deserves for this position.
