School bus driver hurt in accident near Lombard

A school bus driver was treated for minor injuries at an area hospital Tuesday after an early morning accident near Lombard.

DuPage County Sheriff's officials said the department was called to North Avenue, just west of Swift Road, about 8 a.m. No students were on the bus when the accident occurred.

The driver was sent to Adventist GlenOaks Hospital in Glendale Heights.

The sheriff's department continues to investigate the accident.
