Thanks for support of luminaria sale

Thank you, Wheaton, for your generous support of Wheaton Infant Welfare's annual luminaria sale. For 40 years and counting, Wheaton and surrounding communities have made our fundraiser a noteworthy success.

While this year's pouring rain on Christmas Eve extinguished most of the candlelight, we take solace in that familiar phrase: "There's always next year." We would especially like to thank F.E. Wheaton Lumber Company, Winfield Fuel and Material Company, Danada Jewel, the Wheaton Park District and Cosley Zoo for their annual and generous support. Thank you to the City of Wheaton, churches, neighborhood associations and neighborhood captains who so generously helped further the luminaria tradition.

We also thank the Virgilio family for lighting up city hall each year. Proceeds go directly to providing medical care to women and children through the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago. Anyone interested in learning how to participate next year should call Susan Jakubiec at (630) 665-1967.
