Illinois needs true conservatives

Our primary is just around the corner. What happened in Massachusetts Tuesday should give us impetus to clean house in Illinois and Cook County.

I have noted your endorsements and I agree on Matt Murphy for lieutenant governor. Going further, we are supporting Andy McKenna and Mark Kirk.

We trust Elizabeth Coulson will do the job. We trust she has a reasoned view on energy. Windmills and solar will not suffice, as we need to drill on our coasts, Anwar, and the Gulf. We do not need China sucking oil out of the Gulf. We could install windmills and a hydroelectric power plant on Cape Cod, where wind and water are favorable for these operations.

As to Kirk Dillard, he supported Barack Obama for the Senate. He also has too much experience in Springfield. For Schillerstrom, it was nice of him to support Daley's airport expansion. Apparently he wants some huge warehouses and warehouse jobs for DuPage County, to handle the cargo from China.

Now to Judy Baar Topinka, remember her comment "that a conservative cannot win in Illinois" during senate race. Then she brings in Alan Keyes, to eliminate the runner up. Then Obama wins. The Republican party in Illinois needs to eliminate its old hierarchy.

It is a little tiring to read and listen about small businesses needing aid and their needs. We are well supplied with service jobs. What we need is to preserve our manufacturing, manufacturers of large construction equipment, petroleum, airplanes and others. Believe me, these are the real jobs and I have been there.
