How sad woman chose to be a thief
To the young woman who found my purse: On Monday, Dec. 28, you found the black leather handbag I accidentally left in the ladies room at the Deer Park theater.
Did you find the two opera tickets for "Carmen" that I had just purchased that day? Did you realize the beaded keychain on my house keys was made by my 10-year-old granddaughter?
Did you understand the $50 bill was a special Christmas gift from my son? Did you know the pretty Guatemalan bag for my personal items was a special souvenir?
The drivers license, Medicare and Blue Cross cards let you know I am an old lady. Did you find my cell phone and consider calling me?
When you found my purse you had to make a decision. Would you play "finders keepers" or be honest and turn it into the theater manager? Unfortunately, you chose to be a thief.
How sad for both of us.
