Woodridge man charged with possession of child porn

A Woodridge man was charged with possessing child pornography Thursday after authorities said they found three computers containing illegal images.

Woodridge police said they arrested Andrew J. Bykowski, 22, of the 3400 block of Woodridge Drive, after searching his home and discovering three computers used for distributing and collecting child pornography.

Bykowski was being held Friday in DuPage County jail. His bond was set at $200,000.

The charge is the result of an undercover operation initiated last October by Attorney General Lisa Madigan's High-tech Crimes Bureau. As part of the operation, investigators traced computers they believe were dealing in child pornography back to Bykowski, officials said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will conduct the forensic examination of the computers seized at Bykowski's residence.
