Palatine police arrest two for vehicle burglaries, graffiti in public parking garage

Palatine police arrested two men they claim burglarized multiple vehicles and tagged a village-owned parking garage with graffiti in June.

Azrael Sullivan, 20, of Rolling Meadows, and Dennis Liebich, 18, of Des Plaines, are charged with burglary to motor vehicle, criminal damage to government-supported property and criminal defacement of property.

They are scheduled to appear in court in Rolling Meadows Thursday.

Police responded at about 3:45 p.m. on June 13 to a report of multiple vehicle burglaries on the 100 block of East Palatine Road. Later that evening, police said, officers responded to another report of a vehicle burglary occurring earlier in the day on the 100 block of North Oak Street.

Then at about 8:10 p.m., officers answered a call reporting graffiti written in multiple locations inside the parking garage on the 200 block of West Colfax Street.

Police said an investigation linked the alleged crimes and both were arrested Saturday.
