Motorcyclist killed in crash near West Dundee

A motorcyclist was killed Sunday night in a crash at Miller and Parsons roads near West Dundee.

The motorcyclist hit the rear of a Nissan SUV that had come to a stop behind a disabled Chevrolet SUV. The Chevrolet was partially on the shoulder, and the Nissan was waiting for oncoming traffic to clear, according to information from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.

An autopsy is to be performed Monday.

The name, age, sex and hometown of the motorcyclist were not released.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.
