    Missed opportunities helped do in Hampshire Friday night. The Whip-Purs got inside the red zone 3 times in the first half, but came away with only 6 points. A goal-line stop by Woodstock North turned the momentum in the Thunder’s 34-12 win in Fox Valley Conference Fox Division action in Hampshire. The Thunder (6-2, 5-1) clinched a playoff berth for the first time in program history, while Hampshire was left to wonder what might have been.

At the end of this contest, the Rams still had a zero, but not the one they wanted. On Thursday, it denoted the points scored by Graysalke Central as the host Thunder rolled to a 25-0 victory.

It was a quiet first half, with each team only scoring 6 points, but the Chargers couldn’t stop the powerful run game of the Thunder’s Ryan Wade in the second half.
