    Wood Dale police say they've captured a Rolling Meadows man who authorities believe is the “hooded bandit” suspected of robbing as many as nine suburban banks since July 2011. Edward Klich, 62, of the 3200 block of Peacock Lane, was charged in federal court Friday with armed robbery. Authorities said they believe he eventually will be charged with numerous other bank robberies.

  • The DuPage Community Foundation Grants Assist Food Pantries With Food Rescue Sep 10, 2014 5:08 PM
    WHEATON, IL—September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide campaign mobilizing the public to take action on the issue of hunger. Organized by the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks, the campaign brings greater attention to the issue of hunger in America. The DuPage Community Foundation has funded grants to food pantries to help with food recovery efforts to help combat hunger in DuPage County. Each month, more than 547,000 pounds of nutritious food is donated by DuPage County retailers to feed hungry neighbors through Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Food Recovery Program.
