    Despite being mired in controversy, incumbent school board President Wayne Sobczak held onto his seat on the Antioch-Lake Villa High School District 117 board Tuesday. With all 33 precincts counted, Sobczak collected 2,115 votes, making him the second top vote-getter behind fellow incumbent board member Ron Vickers.

Close behind were former board member Dr. James Ekeberg with 3,307 votes and incumbent Rich Bokor with 3,169 votes.

Stephen Pickering retained his seat by earning 22 percent of the vote. He will be joined by newcomers Patrick Riley, Timothy Hatfield and Patrick Wall.
