Fox Valley police reports
Jan 23, 2018 4:49 PM - A Geneva resident reported a case of identity theft about 8 a.m. Friday, according to a sheriff's report. The resident got a call that showed up as a number from her bank on caller ID. The resident was told fraud had been detected, and she was given information and a code to deactivate one of her accounts. Once she did this, she was notified of an $871 "quick pay" transferred out of her account. She reported it to her bank, which said she was the third person to describe such a scam that day.
