    A decision on the controversial widening of Meacham Road in Rolling Meadows has been put off until December. Meanwhile, the Rolling Meadows city council has asked the staff to once again survey area residents, talk to Palatine Township about potentially contributing financially and talk to Schaumburg, which also has land along the road.

    No one was injured in an early morning grease fire at an Arby's Restaurant in Palatine, authorities said. Palatine Fire Deputy Chief Bill Gabrenya said a neighboring business of the Arby's on 100 block of Northwest Highway saw smoke inside the building at 5 a.m. Monday morning.

The South Barrington man is settling into an Inverness nursing care facility and hopes to hear from friends and former colleagues.

    The Sundling Jr. High School Builders Club, sponsored by the Palatine Kiwanis Club served up made-to-order ice cream sundaes to the seniors of the Palatine community at the Palatine Township Senior Center on May 20. They went out of their way to make sure each sundae was perfect and had many toppings to choose from and also served beverages.
