Metea Valley holds off South Elgin May 14, 2013 12:00 AM
This past Saturday, Metea Valley's softball team was shutout on 3 hits by South Elgin junior Paige Allen. On Tuesday at South Elgin, the Mustangs remembered to bring their bats. And they used them for much more than 3 hits. Senior Lori Obendorf and junior Alise Perna each hit home runs and Metea Valley pounded out 13 hits off two South Elgin pitchers, then used a clutch performance from senior Stephanie Bova in the circle to hold off the Storm 8-7 in an Upstate Eight Conference Valley Division game on South Elgin's senior day.

No surprise: Krasuski keys Metea win Apr 30, 2013 12:00 AM
Everyone inside Waubonsie Valley's hot, sticky gymnasium knew where Metea Valley was going with its attack. Unfortunately for the Warriors, there was nothing they could do to stop Mustangs senior outside Martin Krasuski. Krasuski, a three-year starter, had 26 kills while helping the Mustangs rally past the Warriors in three games, 19-25, 25-17, 25-17 in an Upstate Eight Conference Valley Division match played on Tuesday evening in Aurora.

Pall goes the distance as Lake Park wins again in UEC Apr 25, 2013 12:00 AM
Even though the defense faltered a bit for Lake Park’s baseball team on Thursday, the Lancers weren’t too concerned. Not with the way they were able to create runs and lean on Mark Pall’s gutty effort on the mound. Lake Park kept up its hot play with a 6-2 Upstate Eight Valley Conference win over Metea Valley in Aurora.
