    A hearing officer has upheld the firing of a former Maine West soccer coach dismissed by Maine Township High School District 207 last year for not appropriately responding to allegations of hazing. The Fillies topped McHenry 7-2 in their first game as junior Keenan Dolezal (5-2) earned the win for the Fillies (5-2) with 5 strikeouts.

After a 4-1 loss to powerful Benet on Tuesday at the Rosemont Dome, the Dukes were back in the weather-friendly facility on Thursday where they swept a pair of games from Maine West, 13-3 (6 innings) and 13-2 (5 innings).

Hogan struck out a school-record 15 batters in an 8-0 shutout over Guerin Prep at The Dome in Rosemont. She also had a day to remember at the plate, clubbing a home run and double with 2 RBI. Hogan finished with a 2-hitter as the Lions improved to 4-1 overall.
