After the mother of five died of breast cancer in 1999, at age 64, her family created a charity softball tournament in her memory that includes a large buffet of food. Now in its 11th year, the event has raised more than $60,000 for local breast cancer charities. "She would have just absolutely loved this," said her daughter, Deb Boylan, 54 of Vernon Hills.
