The Geneva Library Foundation Speaker Series will feature "The Validation Method: A Better Way to Communicate with Disoriented Elderly People." The program will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23. Jo Letwaitis, a Geneva resident, will discuss the Validation Method of communicating with and helping disoriented elderly people.

Patrons at the St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia libraries now have a new way to reserve and renew library items: Using their phones. The LINC consortium, which contains nine suburban library systems, including those from the Tri-Cities, has launched a service that allows patrons to manage their accounts via text messages on their phones.

Geneva library teams with Barnes & Noble to raise funds Dec 9, 2011 12:00 AM
To raise funds for the Geneva Public Library and its learning programs, the Geneva Library Foundation is partnering with Barnes & Noble Booksellers to host a book fair from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the 102 Commons Drive store in Geneva. Events will include a visit from Santa Claus, children’s story time, free gift-wrapping, and more.

But now he's got a new left hook in the form of Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady. Burns had touted Brady as a supporter during his campaign announcement speech.
