The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families will host Using Media & Technology to Study Smart and Succeed: Study Skills Workshop and a FAFSA Completion Workshop on Monday, Oct. 16. Most students need help navigating today's media-rich world. To be literate now means being able to read, write, listen, speak, view, and represent across all media, including print and non-print texts, film, TV, podcasts, websites, visual art, fashion, architecture, landscape, and music. Pam and Ryan Goble, mother and son and co-authors of "Making Curriculum Pop," will show how students can use media, technology, and pop culture as rich sites for studying and learning core content. The presentation will include a bank of essential tools and tips that will help improve schoolwork and better equip students for the rigor of what lies ahead.
