    It's been no secret that Christian Liberty likes to run the football. But after the Chargers exploded for 404 rushing yards against Mooseheart last week, Alden-Hebron coach John Lalor had his players prepared for Christian Liberty's run-oriented attack. Though Christian Liberty did perhaps take the first step to creating a balance between the pass and the run in the fourth quarter, it was too little and too late for the Chargers as they dropped a 29-12 Northeastern Athletic battle with the Giants.

In all, more than 2,000 students will be competing, as they showcase the best dance, flag and poms routines from throughout the state.

    Injured man looking for Good Samaritan in tollway crash Jan 20, 2011 12:00 AM
    Friends and family of a truck driver seriously injured in a crash on the Tri-State Tollway hope a Good Samaritan steps forward so they can properly thank him. Keith Sphar, 25, of Hebron, was heading south at about 9:45 a.m. Monday when his truck overturned and hit a concrete median near Grand Avenue in Gurnee, according to Illinois State Police. Sphar was driving a tractor-trailer filled with fly ash for Gratz Outdoor Services in Crystal Lake.

Sophomore guard Ray Hunnicutt paced Burlington Central (7-8, 3-0). Junior Tim Sullivan and senior Sam Klein each scored 10 points and senior Zach Romando added 8 points for the Rockets.
