St. Charles Democrats to host 'Concert for Our Candidates' May 15

On Tuesday, May 15, the St. Charles Democrats invite you to join an evening of food, drink, music and a chance to meet some of the candidates in the general election this November.

It will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Club Arcada, 105 E. Main St. in St. Charles. General admission is $20. For tickets, go to the Eventbrite.com page.

Appetizers will be provided along with a cash bar. Musical entertainment will be provided by Wheaton's own Alan Bayert (www.alanbayert.com) to open the evening, followed by St. Charles Township Democratic chairman Steve Bruesewitz and his brother Craig taking the stage, and then the 3G Show Band from St. Charles will play rock favorites the rest of the evening. Democratic candidates have been invited to address the audience and meet supporters.

Confirmed candidates include:

• Sean Casten for Congress in Illinois 6th District

• Nancy Zettler for Illinois State Senate in the 33rd District

• Karina Villa for Illinois House Representative in the 49th District

• Richard Johnson for Illinois House Representative in the 65th District

• Jason Snelson for Kane County Treasurer

• Lark Cowart on behalf of Ron Hain for Kane County Sheriff

Although Lauren Underwood for Congress in Illinois 14 cannot make the event, both recently elected Illinois State Central Committeepersons for Distrcict 14, Peter Janko and Kristina Zahorik, have been invited and will try to attend.

Recently elected State Central Committeepersons for District 6, Patrick Watson and Nancy Shepherdson, have been invited and will try to attend.

More confirmations are expected.
