Glenbard West to stage romantic comedy 'Almost Maine'

The romantic comedy "Almost Maine" will take center stage April 19-21 in a student production at Glenbard West High School.

The show is set in the town of Almost, where on a cold, clear night with the Northern Lights hovering above, residents find themselves falling in and out of love in a variety of ways. The play is broken into a series of nine stories that combine to share the complexities of love.

The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in the school auditorium at 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn. Tickets are $8 and available by calling (630) 469-8600.

The cast features Meghan Buechner, Nam Doan, Brennan Dougherty, Kyle Drexler, Kris Feliciano, Ben Hoppe, Anna Huibregtse, Katie Laird, Micah Love, Kelly Maganini, Grady McDonnell, Molly Molloy, Emma Pauer, Marcus Pruitt, Natalie Rozak, Sierra Shields, Lily Shorney, Jack Slevin and Juliette Winter.

The play is directed by Michael Fox, with technical director Arielle Valene. Student leaders include student business director Bijoy Shah; assistant student business director Sean Swikle; student director Elinore Tolman; student technical director Sage Wuertzer; stage manager Avery Williamson; and assistant stage manager Robbie Matthew.
