The Palatine Township board will be accepting resumes for an open seat on two different fire protection district boards - one is for Hoffman Estates Fire District #1 and the second is for the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District.

The terms of both appointments are three years, starting May 1, 2018, and expiring on April 30, 2021.

The board of trustees for both fire protection districts consists of three board seats, and members meet once per month. "Candidates who are willing to serve in this role and are passionate about their community are invited to apply for these openings," said Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson.

"Only those who live in the service areas for each of the fire protection districts will be considered."
