Dads, enjoy a night out with your daughter in February

Ready for some winter fun? Buffalo Grove and Prospect high schools will host Daddy Daughter Dances in February.

Area girls and their dads/father figures are invited to attend Prospect's 19th annual Daddy-Daughter Dance from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3. This popular fundraiser is held in Prospect's field house at 801 W. Kensington Road, in Mount Prospect, and it is hosted by Prospect's Choral Department. The event is geared toward girls ages 3 through middle school.

Buffalo Grove High School's 2020 Class Board will sponsor its 6th annual Daddy-Daughter Dance for attendance area 4-year-old through sixth-grade girls and their dads from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, in the school's gymnasium, 1100 W. Dundee Road, in Buffalo Grove.

These dances represent a special opportunity for dads (or father figures) and daughters to dress up and enjoy an evening out together.

At Prospect, a local DJ will keep the party going with both trendy dance music and favorite oldies, so there will be something for everyone. Not only does the dance boast a dessert table fit for a king, but it also offers fun souvenirs, keepsake wrist corsages, photo booths and professional photographers.

The annual event benefits Prospect's award-winning Choir Program, under the direction of Jennifer Troiano. and it is staffed by choir students and Prospect Choral Boosters.

The entry fee for dads/fathers figures is $25 in advance or $30 (cash or check) at the door. Attendance for daughters is free. Please visit www.phsfinearts.com to download a registration form. Please note that credit cards are not accepted.

At Buffalo Grove, dads will be able to treat their little princess to a semiformal evening filled with music and dancing, as well as games, crafts, a photo booth, refreshments and more. The gym will be decorated to match the event, taking guests to an enchanted event

The cost is $30 for each family. Checks should be made payable to Buffalo Grove High School and mailed to the attention of the 2020 Class Board/Daddy-Daughter Dance at 1100 W. Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Be sure to include "Daddy-Daughter Dance" in the memo section of the check. Please include the father and daughter(s) names and home phone number with the payment, as well as an email address.
