Naperville Park District Preschool Information Nights offered Jan. 11 and 18

Parents are invited to learn more about the Naperville Park District's preschool programs at one of two identical Preschool Information Nights. The first will take place from 6 -7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, at Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center and the second will be held from 6 -7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, at Knoch Knolls Nature Center.

Preschool staff will be on hand to answer questions about the District's two preschool programs for the 2018-19 year, which are the Naperville Park District (NPD) Preschool Academy and Toadstools and Pollywogs Preschool.

The NPD Preschool Academy emphasizes creative play and hands-on learning, focusing on individual growth, self-esteem, problem solving and social interaction. Toadstools and Pollywogs teaches the same curriculum but with an emphasis on outdoor play and nature.

NPD Preschool Academy classes meet at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, and "Toadstools and Pollywogs" classes are held at Seager Park or Knoch Knolls Nature Center.

Parents do not need to register for Preschool Information Night.

Registration forms for the 2018-19 preschool programs must be submitted in person at one of the following park district locations:

• Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center at 305 W. Jackson Ave.

• 95th Street Center at 2244 W. 95th St.

• Knoch Knolls Nature Center at 320 Knoch Knolls Rd.

Registration for residents not already enrolled in the program begins Jan. 23. Nonresident registration begins Jan. 29.

Children already enrolled in the 2017-18 preschool programs and alumni families will receive priority registration for the 2018-19 year.
