Citrus, pizza sale support school's fine arts programs

It's time again for the Barrington High School Fine Arts Boosters' annual Citrus and Pizza Sale.

This year's fundraiser will feature sweet, tree-ripened Florida oranges and grapefruit and certificates for Lou Malnati's frozen pizzas, as well as Naperville's Old-Fashioned English Toffee and cans and K-cups of HealthWise Coffee.

The sale, which began Monday, Sept. 25, will run through Sunday, Oct. 15. Orders can be picked up between 2 and 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 2.

Orders can be placed with any Barrington High School student enrolled in a fine arts class or can be placed online at www.bhsfineartsboosters.org.

Customers can also pay by checks sent to Barrington High School Citrus Sale, 616 W. Main St., Barrington, IL 60010.

The sale is the Fine Arts Boosters' biggest fundraiser and has supported a variety of programs, equipment and learning experiences for Barrington High School students.

These include a residency by Giordano Dance Chicago; a guest artist for the Winter Jazz Series; a power drum sander for woodworking classes; a portable PA system for the Barrington High School marching band; a lighting upgrade for the school's auditorium and more.
