Send postcards from the North Branch Trail

Now through Sunday, Oct. 15, the Forest Preserves of Cook County challenges residents and visitors to send postcards from the North Branch Trail.

Trail users can explore the North Branch Trail and post a selfie or photo from any or all of the six giant postcards along the way. Photos posted to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #NBTpostcard will be entered to win Forest Preserves prizes.

North Branch Trail Postcard locations are: Irene C. Hernandez in Chicago; LaBagh Woods in Chicago; Bunker Hill in Chicago; Harms Woods in Glenview/Skokie; Skokie Lagoons in Winnetka; and the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe.

Once the photo is posted to social media using the hashtag #NBTpostcard, participants will be entered into a drawing to win a Forest Preserves swag bag or a prize of various Forest Preserves experiences.

Throughout and at the end of the nine-week contest, the Forest Preserves will conduct drawings from all eligible posts to receive Forest Preserves prizes, which may include free, two-hour canoe/kayak rentals; Chicago Botanic Garden gift certificate; Forest Preserves golf passes; Go Ape Treetop Adventure & Zipline Course family pack; free picnic with small shelter rental in the Forest Preserves for 25 to 99 attendees; four-hour bicycle rental vouchers; individual single day Aquatic Center passes.
