Aurora Lions Club to mark solar eclipse Monday

Monday's solar eclipse will be observed at Aurora Noon Lions Club's semimonthly lunch meeting at noon Monday, Aug. 21, at Luigi's Pizza, 732 Prairie St. in Aurora.

Noon Lions President Bob Cissell said Moon Pies confections - combinations of marshmallow, graham and chocolate - will be offered. An eclipse-themed gift basket by Debby Cissell will raffled and members will be invited to view the eclipse at 1:19 p.m. in Luigi's parking lot.

Bob Cissell will provide approved solar-eclipse viewing safety glasses.

Guest speaker will be Aurora resident Larry Frieders, owner of The Compounder pharmacy in Aurora. He will detail his firm's history, services, and a case study of apple cider vinegar for healthy living.
