Hanover Twp. launches Employment Support Center

Hanover Township has established an Employment Support Center at the Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave., Hanover Park.

The center is open Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in and scheduled appointments will be accepted to provide township residents with career assistance and counseling at no cost.

The services are being provided by R.P.P. Enterprises LLC, a career coaching firm located in Hoffman Estates. R.P.P. Enterprises LLC also provides similar services for Schaumburg and Elk Grove townships.

"Unfortunately, many of our residents are unemployed or underemployed in positions that do not allow for a sustainable quality of life," said Mary Jo Imperato, Hanover Township director of Welfare Services.

"The township is taking a direct role in improving our community in ensuring that those 18 years and older, seeking to find work or better jobs, have access to the needed resources and programs."

To schedule an appointment for employment assistance, call (630) 540-9085, or email employmentsupport@hanover-township.org.

Free services are available to help with resume writing (review or rewritten), assist with researching company career and job opportunities, assistance with LinkedIn profile development, interview assistance and practice, answering general employment-related questions, as well as help developing overall job search and career campaigns.

These services are for all levels of worker - laborer, administrative support, professional and/or manager.

The center will also accept job postings from local employers. To submit a job posting, email employmentsupport@hanover-township.org.
