Return of FanCon engages, entertains

Nearly 800 people enjoyed a wide variety of activities designed to engage customers of all ages at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library's second annual FanCon: Comics and Pop Culture event Saturday, July 29, at the library.

Attendees tried their hand at the trivia wheel, worked their way through a Minecraft obstacle course, searched high and low for Star Lord's missing cassettes in a scavenger hunt, met female superheroes, characters from the Star Wars universe and local artists, and helped navigate a spaceship in an interactive gaming experience. All-day crafts and games kept people busy in the world of their fandoms, and there was never a dull moment!
