Geneva Arts Fair set for Saturday and Sunday

The Geneva Arts Fair is planned for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 22 and 23, on South Third Street, south of Route 38, in Geneva.

For 16 years, the juried show has risen in attendance and notoriety. The fine arts show showcases more than 155 fine artisans from around the country in a host of mediums. Historic downtown Geneva serves as a picturesque backdrop for the outdoor show that has been voted one of the top 200 Best Art Fairs nationwide by Sunshine Artist Magazine.

Visitors can meet exhibiting artists, learn the sources of their inspirations, ask questions about techniques, commission a specific piece, and, of course, purchase existing fine works of art.

There is no admission charge for the show, which includes free art activities for children of all ages. On Saturday, eight awards of excellence worth $500 each will be presented for 2-D and 3-D artwork.

Geneva merchants and restaurants will offer sales, food and wine specials.

Once again, the expertise and products of Plandscape Inc. will transform the corners of South Third and Franklin streets into a display of foliage and color. Stop by with questions about the Arts Fair, upcoming festivals or visiting Geneva. Plandscape Inc. is the exclusive sponsor of the Information Garden.
