Opening available on Cary Park District board

The Cary Park District Board of Commissioners is seeking individuals interested in filling a vacancy on the board and serving as a commissioner.

Park board commissioners must be residents of the Cary Park District for no less than one year; a registered voter within the park district; attend no less than two meetings each month held on Thursday evenings; and participate in other park district activities and events throughout the year. The board of commissioners is a five-member board. Commissioners are not compensated for their time.

Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest no later than July 10. The letter should include your full name, address, phone number, and email address. Indicate past experiences with the park district and why you are interested in serving as a commissioner.

The board will appoint an individual to fill the vacancy and the individual will serve until April 2019.
